Hola!
It's Marie here! I'm going to be announcing my first project for this blog and I hope you enjoy.
The inspiration came when I was looking up the band Insane Clown Posse on Wikipedia. (Ever heard of them? It's two guys who pretend to be clowns from a freak show.) I heard one of their songs The Neden Game and it was so inappropriate that it was funny. (Then again the context in which it was used made it funny {aka watching an amv} ) So while reading about them I came across something that said DISNEY promoted them. My first thought was the following- WTH? Disney sponsering the Insane Clown Posse? So then I thought, this must not of been the first time Disney's done something dumb like that. I will now dedicate /some/ of my free time to looking up what will be known as Disney Disasters.
But don't worry, I'll post stuff that won't involve this project also!
Enjoy!

The Manga Review Corner- {Full Moon O Sagashite}
Hay I'm Marie and for my first official post I will be reviewing a manga I just finished called Full Moon O Sagashite. The manga has 7 full novels that are all translated to English and avaliable at libraries and bookstores. The summary is the following;
Mitsuki is 12. She loves Eichi, who's studying in the U.S., and she dreams of fulfilling her promise to him by becoming a singer. But Mitsuki has sarcoma, a form of cancer in her throat. Her doctor wants her to have an operation, but Mitsuki refuses because it would destroy her singing voice. One day two shinigami (gods of death) appear; Takuto and Meroko, and transform her into a healthy sixteen-year old. Because of the transformation, Mitsuki is able to make her debut as "Fullmoon"
^ Pretty much this book is about Mitsuki's journey as she starts out as a girl with no future, and transforms into a pop culture icon. I liked this series because of all the twists and turns. One second you believed that it was going to be happy and everything was alright, and bam the next second you would realize that you were tricked. I especially liked the ending of it (not telling ;D) Criticism I have for this is the following- The relationships are hard to follow (wait who is that person again?) and the drawings can be overloaded at times with effects. Also, the authors comments get in the way of some of the good parts. But nonetheless it still stays cute, funny, and sad.
Rating- 4

Marie's L'asile {grand opening!}
Hi there, I'm Marie and its nice to meet you. I'm glad that you discovered my newly started blog Marie's L'asile. For those that are curious, L'asile translates to Asylum in french. While I think french is a very pretty language I'm not learning it at the second. Back to business. On this blog I will be posting about things I like and /some/ aspects of my life. Not a lot though, so mostly expect stuff on anime, my current 'addiction'. All comments are appreciated! I don't expect anybody really to want to read this blog so if you are I really appreciate the dedication.
I'll be posting more later.
Seeya!
